3 Free tips for Cheltenham Day 1 2025

The Cheltenham Festival has rolled around again and it looks as tricky as ever of course. Day One sees four strong favourites who could well go in but with such competition and those things called jumps and hurdles in the way, I am not taking any silly prices.

Here are my three bets for the 2025 Cheltenham Festival…

Cheltenham 1.20 Workahead 7/1+

Cheltenham 4.00 State Man 11/1+

Cheltenham 4.40 Stencil 10/3+

The 1.20 could see a solid run from the 3rd Fav in Workahead for the proven Cheltenham festival winning team of Bromhead and Blackmore. State Man runs in a 7 runner race and therefore the each-way option is far less attractive, but should either of the market leaders slip up, he could be there to take advantage. In the 4.40 Stencil looks potentially the best handicapped in the race and is also a qualifier for the £10k Secret System Professional Update.
